DR. JIMMY KILIMITZOGLOU: Oral cancer is completely treatable when caught early. This is why it’s very important for us to do an oral cancer screening every time a patient comes in for a checkup. We check the tongue, the cheeks, the lips, and the palate to make sure that nothing unusual is there. And if we do pickup something that’s unusual, we might have to explore it a little bit so we can make sure the patient is healthy.
